Designed for 11th & 12th graders pursuing a career in the agricultural business field.

Your chapter actually creates and manages a small business to sell garden kits at Farmer’s Markets, fairs, festivals, and to relatives and friends. Develops business skills using a team approach including:

Sales • Marketing • Accounting • Logistics • Team Building • Community Interaction

Each sale raises $8.00 for the chapter.

Simple ordering. No down payments. Inventory can be ordered as often as weekly.
No excess inventory at the end of the fundraising effort.

Included with the first order of Gerome’s Magical GardenTM Career Builder kit is a CD/DVD containing:
• Start-Up Guide - A video presentation with instructions for designing the tabletop/booth display to market and sell this agriculture-based educational product.
• Artwork so students can create their own marketing literature, signs, and table top displays.
• All accounting, ordering and record keeping documents. Students learn about costs, shipping, logistics and team work.

Growing Leaders

Based on the “sponsorship” method of fundraising for 8th, 9th & 10th graders.

Chapter members become young leaders in their communities by facilitating a unique agricultural
learning experience in elementary classrooms.

Members benefit by:
• Developing Leadership Skills
• Becoming Mentors to Younger Children
• Performing Community Service

Younger chapter members collect donations from sponsors to purchase Gerome’s Magical GardenTM.
The members use the kits to lead younger children in a reading adventure complimented by the
hands-on experience of planting a garden.

This mentoring activity is perfect for members to share with children age Kindergarten – 2nd grade.
Classrooms, faith organizations and day cares are perfect settings for this fun learning activity of
reading, planting and growing!
